A General Guide on How to Measure
Women
It is important to measure accurately for garments to fit correctly. Remember to measure over light clothing or underwear. Make no extra allowance for movement as this is done for you during the design process. For greater accuracy ask someone to measure you. Remember not to pull the tape too tight.
Bust – Measure around the fullest part
Waist – Measure around the natural waistline
Hips – Measure at the fullest part, approximately 8” (20cm) below the waist
Sleeve – Measure from the crown or tip of the shoulder down the outside of the arm to the length required
Inside leg – Measure from the top of the inside leg to preferred length
Skirt lengths – Skirt lengths are dependent on height, with 3 standard lengths available in petite, regular and long

Collar – Measure around the base of the neck where the collar fits comfortably
Chest – Measure the fullest part under the arms
Waist – Measure around the body level with the top of the trouser waistband
Sleeve – Measure from the crown or tip of the shoulder down the outside of the arm to the length required
Inside leg – Measure from the top of the inside leg to preferred length
